This weekend I traveled home to Edinburgh to
surprise my boyfriend with a visit, but also to celebrate Mother’s Day with my
mum and sister.
On Sunday, I went along to the Edinburgh
branch of Sweaty Betty on George Street, where my sister Tess also works as a
boutique assistant. As a treat for all of our lovely Mums’, every Sweaty Betty
store in the UK held a yoga class, which Mums were invited to, and as with all
of their classes, they were free!
My mum thought I was still in London and had
forgotten to send her a card, so it was lovely to surprise her and see her face
when she came into the store.
With SB mats provided, we were taken through
a blissful yoga session by the talented Demelza, who teaches at Meadowlark
studio in Edinburgh.
Practising our three-legged dogs!
Our SB goodie bags with a beautiful take home yoga-inspired message
After an hour of siavasnas, plenty of twisting, heavenly stretching and relaxation to finish, Mum and I both felt our
batteries had been fully restored. We were then treated to a bursting goodie
bag each courtesy of SB, a lovely little thoughtful extra, which contained SB
trainer socks, water bottle and gift voucher, Vita Coco coconut water and
coconut oil and Pip and Nut peanut or almond butter.
After a little browsing of the new season SB
range and resisting buying every pair of trainer in stock, we stepped out into
the Edinburgh sunshine for coffee and scones at Leo’s beanery, a browse around
Stockbridge farmers market and home to cook up a delicious Sunday roast. A pretty
perfect Sunday and I was so thankful I got to spend it with my mum on Mothers’ Day.

Thank you Sweaty Betty as always and Tess (http://www.thescottishnutritionist.com/) for taking photos!
