This was one of Steph’s great ideas and even though she won’t be joining us at the festival I couldn’t let this one go, as Steph is one of the best organisers I know and she writes a mean list. Camping equipment

Your tent! complete with groundsheet, poles, enough pegs and maybe a mallet to knock ’em in!

Mat, sleeping bag and pillow

Running kit

Trail shoes – I’m so excited to try my new favourites the Salomon S-Lab Sense 6’s

Plenty of socks – my favourites are Stance



Vests, tees and a long sleeve

Hat or visor and a buff

Waterproof jacket

Race vest or running rucksack

Water bottles to carry water while running

Head torch with charged battery or spares



Swimming costume/trunks if you’re planning on catching some waves

Cash for food and drinks

Toiletries – just the basics and maybe an extra loo roll

A towel


Cutlery and your own mug and water bottle – keep plastic waste down and bring your own

I’m sure I’ve forgotten something but those are the basics – anything else I’m sure you can borrow! There are literally hundreds of runners attending that share your love of trail running so make friends, smile and see you there!
