A fitness studio tour of Fulham

When I first moved to Fulham I fully embraced the range of fitness classes and boutique studios on my doorstep. In three years this scene has continued to grow, with many more to choose from and new additions popping up all the time. Here, I’ve rounded up every one I can think of – all of them tried and tested by me – and sorted them into categories with the best deals for you to try them out too –

The All Rounders

Paola’s Body Barre

Tucked downstairs at 2, Fulham High Street is this incredible space where the energy just flows. Paola and her incredible team offer classes like PBB Burn, TRX Core and Cardio Barre, all of which inspire and ignite your fitness flare.

Intro offer: 3 classes for £15

Transition Zone

Claire and her team also create a buzz of energy with classes including the classic TRX and more unique TRX Chair as well as Power Plate and Boxing.

For new clients: Buy one get one free,£25 or try 10 consecutive days of classes,£50

Slice Studios

I feel a sense of homecoming and relaxation when I enter Slice on Heathmans Road, which also doubles as a creche if you’re a mummy. They have an extensive variety of classes to choose from including trampoline rebounding and ballet bootcamp.

If you’re new to Slice: 21 days for £40

PHIIT

Founders Lindsay and Aleksa have a double whammy of studios on North End Road to give you the choice of HIIT or Pilates.

First class free or try 7 days for £45.

Yoga and Pilates

The Power Yoga Company

A quiet hub away from the buzz of Parsons Green is London’s first power yoga studio, but top tip – their Sunday morning yin yoga class is other worldly.

Try their info offer of three classes for £15 and receive 15% off hourly passes.

Hot Spot Yoga

If you’re looking for hot yoga, this is your new home. All classes are Bikram style and you can choose from a 60, 75 or 90 minute guaranteed-sweat session as well as one in blissful candlelight (balancing in eagle pose in the dark is a challenge!)

Get started with £35 for 20 consecutive days.

Bootcamp Pilates

Also home to PBB (see above), 2 Fulham High Street houses this Dynamic Reformer Pilates studio that first brought this revolutionary workout to London from the USA.

Try their 2 classes for £25 introductory offer.

Heartcore

Another Pilates studio that makes full use of the Reformer bed, Heartcore also includes classes using the humble but deadly TRX to ensure a full body workout.

Discover Heartcore by trying 4 classes for £40.

Absolute Studios

Hidden above unsuspecting offices and between Slice, Transition Zone and Hot Spot Yoga on Heathmans Road is this airy loft space with Reformer Pilates classes and PT sessions.

Grab an intro pack to get 3 classes for £30.

Spin

Ride Republic

If spin classes are your thing then this studio on Fulham Road is a must-try with a neon-lit space, top tunes and a Burn board to ignite your competitive streak with your fellow riders.

Start spinning with 3 class credits for £30.

It seems I’ve found a little gap in the market here with a lack of spin-only studios in the area, however Slice also offer spin classes as well as most of the local gyms and Boom Cycle has just moved to Hammersmith bringing their energy with them!

HIIT

Flux aka Life Athletes

If you love working out with kettlebells this basement space is the place to be, with a crossfit-style workout that is different every day to ensure variety. They also house Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS) training, if full body exercise with added impulse current is your thing!

Free first taster session.

UN1T

High intensity, non-stop, adrenaline-firing action with cardio, strength and mobility focused classes. Every day is a different workout.

Try the 7 day challenge for £20 and read my review here.

Evolve

A fitness family on New Kings Road that offer a no-BS, no fads, just results approach with small group classes that are as much fun as they are challenging.

Free trial class available.

Coming soon…

F45

Fresh from London Bridge and other central locations, F45 is coming West to Fulham and I’ve been keeping a close eye on building works as the studio takes shape ready to open its doors on Dawes Road in January. They’ve been trialing classes in Eel Brook Common since they announced their arrival, offering a high intensity team training workout so watch out Fulham, F45 is a comin’!

Frame

I’ve been lucky enough to be enjoying Frame classes this month after winning a months free membership in a competition (always worth liking and commenting on the ol’ insta!) so I was excited to hear they are launching a new studio in Hammersmith in the new year. There’s a whole host of classes to choose from including 80s rave aerobics, boxfit, barre and yoga, the hardest part of your workout might be deciding which class to choose!

Phew! That’s a HUGE list of incredible studios, each one unique in their style of classes and teaching, to choose from in such a small area. Have you tried any and do you have a favourite?
